The objective of texas hold’em bonus poker is to create the best five-card poker hand possible, using two cards you’re dealt in combination with the five-card community flop. You only have to beat the dealer’s hand to win, not the other players at the table. You have several opportunities to make bets as the game progresses.
If your hand beats the dealer’s, you are paid even money on flop, turn and river wagers. So if you bet $10 for flop, $10 on the turn, and $10 on the river, you are paid out $30.
If your hand beats the dealer’s and contains a straight or better, you are paid even money on your ante wager, so a $10 ante would be paid $10 more. If you beat the dealer but your hand is worse than a straight, it’s a push. No win, no loss on your ante.
If the dealer’s hand is higher than yours, you lose all your bets.
The optional bonus jackpot bet pays based on the two cards you’re dealt, and is outlined in the bonus jackpot pay table.
Hand value | Payout |
---|---|
Two aces in both the player and dealer hands | 1,000-1 |
Two aces | 30-1 |
Ace/king suited | 25-1 |
Ace/queen or ace/jack suited | 20-1 |
Ace/king unsuited | 15-1 |
King/king, queen/queen, or jack/jack | 10-1 |
Ace/queen or ace/jack unsuited | 5-1 |
Pair of 10s or 2s | 3-1 |
Place an ante wager to join the game, plus an optional bet for the bonus jackpot.
The dealer deals two cards to each player and to himself, all face down.
Look at your cards. You can either fold or place a flop wager, which must be double your ante.
Three cards are dealt face up for the flop. You have the option of placing an additional wager, called a turn wager, which must be equal to your ante.
A fourth card is added to the flop, face up. This card is known as the turn. You have the option of placing another wager, called a river wager, which must be equal to your ante.
A fifth card is added to the flop. This card is known as the river.
Create your best five-card hand, using the two cards in your hand and the five community cards in the flop.
Compare your cards to the dealer’s to see who has a higher poker hand.

When enjoying a new game of Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker you have to analyze your cards. Consider folding before the Flop if you have non-pair cards, both less than 10. It is important to keep an 8 and a 9 of the same suit because it gives you a chance at getting a straight or flush.
Don’t let yourself advance much into the game with a weak hand. It is best to lose the Ante bet at the beginning than to advance with limited possibilities and lose all your bets.
Start playing for fun at first, once you feel confident with the game switch to real money play but make sure you have set aside a bankroll you do without in case of a loss.

Tips
When playing Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker it is always important to remember two basic elements:
- The first two cards you are dealt will be the only two cards that will set you apart from the dealer’s cards and give a chance to win.
- The Flop, Turn and River cards are all community cards. Those are the cards that both the player and the dealer will use to come up with the best poker hand. It is very important to analyze how those cards could actually help the dealer come up with a better hand in order to make the right decisions. Be aware of the dealer’s chance at coming up with a straight and/or a flush.
Once the Flop cards are revealed it is ok to cut your losses. It is best to Fold then and only lose the Ante bet than to continue and lose all bets.
